Happy Friday!

I know I changed my template again! David was just getting on to me the other night about spending hours fixing this thing up. He told me to come up with one I like and leave it (heehee) He said the same thing about the living room. When I worked I was constantly moving things around in my office. So, that's just me, love it one day, need something different the next. I'm just using this one until I can decide which one of these I want to get. (Shabby Miss Jenn) Plus, I am sending the blue/brown html to a friend of mine for her blog.

Beautiful! That is the one word I can come up with to describe today. We are expected to reach the mid 80's ~ Yippee! We will be gone most of the day enjoying this nice weather. We are going to do some visiting and then head to the park.

The latest news on a pet hamster is .......... we're not getting one. And yes, I am happy. Apparently, the tiny creatures can pass on a virus to humans. You can read this terrible news story here.

Last night, I was catching up on some blog reading and found a yummy chocolate chip pie recipe at Bakerella, and I am so fixin' this tonight. In case you missed it she was on Martha Stewart a couple of weeks ago and you can read about that here.

I hope you all have a wonderful and happy Friday!

Emily

On Sunday nights we are currently going through the Way of the Master Training. David and a couple more guys are heading this up, and since I am taking the class we have been keeping the girls with us. Emily's bff also comes out to the class since her dad is helping, and her mom is taking it as well. A week or so ago we had to pair up with someone, give them a tract, and go over the good person test. Emily paired up with Bryanna and the following is what Emily told David after church.

*remember we were role playing and the idea was to come across like someone you might meet on the street. Emily was asking the questions of the good person test. Such as, have you ever told a lie

Daddy, Bryanna said she's never told a lie. And she said she's never taken
anything that was not hers. I told her, I don't know what lusting
means but you're gonna do that when your older.

Lusting, the newest word in Emily's vocabulary. She asked me the other day while watching The Flintstones if Barney and Fred were lusting after their dance teacher. Oh, my! I jerked my head up wanting to know where she had heard the word. She gave me a funny look and said it's in the bible.

The Dentist

I have a dentist appointment at 2:30 today and I am already a ball of nerves. I love my dentist and all the people that work there, but yet, I hate it! I am a big baby! My girls love going to the dentist. Audrey just had an appointment last week to get a chipped tooth fixed. No problem. She was even looking forward to it. When we left I told Dr.? that I would see him on Monday and how Audrey is a better patient than I am. He told me I would be fine. He was probably thinking otherwise. He has sent me home before. He now calls me in valium. I have to take a pill about 30 minutes to an hour before I go to help me relax. I miss Kathy, his old assistant, she used to hold my hand and tell me I was doing fine.

I meant to ask David to leave his iPod so I could listen to some music while he was working in my mouth, but I forgot. Now I'll be listening to High School Musical tunes on Audrey's while Mr. Bumpy and Mr. Whistle are going to work on this tooth.

Weigh In

Well, I was up 2 pounds at Thursday's weigh in. When I stepped up on the scale the lady looked at me and said, what did you do? Well, apparently I ate! But I mumbled something about "that time" and listened as she gave me a lecture on retaining water.(in front of everyone) It's my own fault. My weigh in the week before was really good. Down almost two pounds. So I rewarded myself. With a banana split Friday night. And Saturday. I wanted to fix another one this past Friday, ya know, to make me feel better. But I thought better of it. Plus, I knew that David wouldn't let me. He has really been after me since my weigh in. Asking how many points this or that is, telling me I really shouldn't eat that, and the worst, telling me I can't have birthday cake (gasp)
